Why We Don't Say Things

The other night I was laying in bed awake.  It was one of those nights where I wake up in the middle of the night and don't really go right back to sleep.  This usually allows me some time to be alone with my thoughts, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Of course, I wasn't entirely alone.  Robyn was next to me but she was asleep.  If you think that she can't be involved in what's going on just because she's asleep then you are entirely wrong.  As I lay there drifting in my thoughts, suddenly Robyn whispered intensely, "Shhhhhh..  That's why we don't say things."

I think I may have missed something.  I'm not sure why we don't say things.  I just know that we don't say them.

  1. Of course! Saying things is ridiculous.

  2. Of course, Robyn did SAY that, thereby breaking her own rule, which IS ridiculous. It would have been cooler if she had done sign language. :)

  4. Maybe aliens were speaking in code through Robyn so that you could find out the only way to stop their invasion. You need to think hard about what this would mean in that context. I know that you are the last hope for humanity. Good luck Jeff.

  5. So Robyn, WHY don't we say things??
You should have quizzed her in her sleep, maybe she would have revealed all!!

  6. sounds like she's keeping something from you...you need to get to the bottom of what she's not "saying" to you!

  7. I had a roommate in college before my days at the Crestwood and she would fall asleep without fail at 10:30 and at 11 without fail begin to talk in her sleep. We had many a good times talking to her while sleeping. She was aware that she was spilling her secrets, but couldn't stop. It was awesome. You should talk to Robyn when she is sleep talking, not that she has secrets, but it does make for some fun conversations!

  8. I would say something about this... but of course I don't say things either. Perhaps I'll do an interpretive dance instead?
