She's not Invited

A good friend of mine is getting married soon.  He sent me a wedding invitation and it was obviously precious.  But the envelope that it came in is what I need to discuss.  This is what the address label looked like when it arrived in the mail.

The original didn't have my address crossed off.  That was done because I'm afraid  that  I will have fans of this blog that will love my writing so much that they'll camp in my yard and do creepy things.
I don't know if you noticed a problem with this address label.  I am Mr. Jeff Stockett, but my wife is not a mister.  I have a few theories as to why this was done.

1.  He thinks Robyn is male.  (Most awkward option)
2. It was a typo.
3. He wants to subtly say that he doesn't want Robyn there.
4. He wants me there so badly that he would prefer that two of me show up if that were possible. (Most likely option)

I texted him to mock him and he assured me that Robyn was invited.  That eliminates number 3 as an option and pretty much confirms number 4.  I agree with him.  Sometimes I wish there were two of me.  You can only hold so much awesome in one person.

  1. When I get married I will invite two or three of you. But I will also invite Robyn. Maybe even two of her.

  2. I'm with Jared...when I get married, I'd prefer two or three of both you and Robyn. Your label may look something like, "Mr. and Mr. and Mr. and Mrs. and Mrs. and Mrs. Jeff Stockett."

  4. Jared and Kayli, I'm working on cloning myself so that I can show up multiple times to your weddings. If I haven't perfected cloning by that point I promise to eat enough food for 2 or 3 people. That will be my contribution to the cause.

Kara, (KS Photography), I'm not super worried that you'll camp in my yard and do creepy things. But if you want to it's totally cool.

  5. And exactly how much awesome is that?

  6. My body can generally hold about 3 or 4 gallons of awesome. Since my body's production of awesome ebbs and flows, sometimes it is seeping from my pores, other times it may actually cause my skin to rupture as the awesome pours out.

  9. Now I feel awkward for only inviting you once.

  10. That is kind of awkward. I thought we were friends.

  11. I'm glad it wasn't option #1 or #3. I am glad she is female and that she was also invited. However, with option 4 it is possible that Robyn wouldn't have been invited so even though you were doubly wanted it would have been lonely. I'm going to have to go with #2 was really the best option.
