Or my Taco Bell Chihuahuas.
But even more importantly were some old journals. One was a personal journal that I had kept, and the other was a "Dialogue Journal" from 3rd grade, where I would write and my third grade teacher would respond. I thought I'd share a few excerpts from the Dialogue journal, because these ancient writings are full of wisdom. Here are a few things I wrote:
"I like to write about almost everything like space, animals, monsters and caves." For those of you who read my blog you know I write about everything, but especially space, animals, monsters and caves.
"I like money because it's green, that's my favorite color." Since then I may or may not have found other reasons to like money.
"If I had a million dollars I would buy several acres of land and would put a zoo there." I had a bit of a fascination with animals when I was a small child. It's possible I'm still into animals and nature. Swimming with sharks sound like something I might do?
"What I like to do on my birthday is get presents." Enough Said.
"If I had three wishes I would wish for a million extra wishes then I would wish that the world wasn't polluted and I would keep wishing forever." I'm not sure if pollution would necessarily be my number one priority now (you can tell I was heavily influenced by reading about animals and their environments) but I still like the idea of wishing for a million wishes. I was kind of a genius.
Anyway, I thought it would be fun to share some of these ancient writings and artifacts with you. I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did.
You are a genius. I'm glad you have stayed true to yourself over the years. Now, what to do with those dogs?
ReplyDeleteI hope you and robyn are going to use those cups from here on out!
ReplyDeleteSo are you allowed to mix and match those favorite things to write about? For instance, "space animals", "monster caves", "space caves", or "animal monsters"? Do these also qualify as your favorite things to write about?
ReplyDeletePeople are probably looking at me funny cause I'm laughing while I'm reading this at school. I read one of my old journals not too long ago too, and it is hilarious. Maybe I should do a post like this too...I think I will. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeletebrilliant!
ReplyDeletexoxoxo
Thanks for the giggle.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds so much like my Spencer Boy!
Love it. Maybe I should go look at my stored grade school stuff. My friends and I wrote notes to each other. There's got to be some juicy bits in there....
ReplyDeleteYou are so wise in the ways of wisdom. I think you should write more about space. We need to hear more about space.
ReplyDeleteI'm lovin' the video. I have many childhood memories of that "Yo Quiero Taco Bell" chihuahua.
ReplyDeleteThis was very fun to read. It's true, you're the same Jeff from long ago!
I must admit that I have pushed the "yo quiero taco bell" button many times since you have not lived there. I loved reading your dialog journal too. It was way fun!!!
